A preliminary (i.e Beta 3) version of ADVi3++ 6.0.0 has beed released.
I expect this Beta to be the last preliminary Beta before the actual 6.0.0 release. So contrary to previous Beta, it should be pretty stable and can be installed and used without major issues. If you prefer to use only a release that is fully tested, wait for the actual release of version 6.0.0 in a couple of weeks.
This new version is the result of months of work and provides many new features such as:
- Support of native power loss detection and print recovery for Wanhao i3 Plus Mark II printers.
- Support of native power control (power off) for Aldi Balco 3D Touchscreen printers.
- Support of Bigtreetech Relay 1.2 to add power loss and power control features to other printers.
- Redesigned screens with more live information such as the X, Y, Z position of the extruder.
- More precise temperature values for the hotend and the bed.
- Mesh Leveling without a sensor.
Differences with Beta 2
- Under some circumstances, a Wait screen was wrongly displayed after another one. At this stage, the user was stuck and the printer needs to be rebooted. This is now fixed.
- I discorver a (silent) bug. Some incorrect data were sent to the LCD panel. The panel was resilient enough to recover but it is better to send correct data. This is now fixed.
- Sometimes, the wait animations were not displayed. This is fixed now.
Binaries
- As usual, supporters of the project on Patreon can find the pre-built binaries in ADVi3++ Binaries.
User Manual
- The User Manual is mostly up to date but I will provide more information regarding some topics.
