A preliminary (i.e Beta 2) version of ADVi3++ 6.0.0 has beed released.
IMPORTANT: Please do not install this Beta 2 if you expect a fully stable version. It is not a stable release: severe bugs may occur, and they might be bad enough that they make a manual downgrade to an earlier version necessary. You should feel comfortable with and capable of possibly having to do this before installing a preliminary release.
This new version is the result of months of work and provides many new features such as:
- Support of native power loss detection and print recovery for Wanhao i3 Plus Mark II printers.
- Support of native power control (power off) for Aldi Balco 3D Touchscreen printers.
- Support of Bigtreetech Relay 1.2 to add power loss and power control features to other printers.
- Redesigned screens with more live information such as the X, Y, Z position of the extruder.
- More precise temperature values for the hotend and the bed.
- Mesh Leveling without a sensor.
Differences with Beta 1
Thanks to @Philipp and @MauroGil for their tests and bugs reports.
- There was a bug in the Sensor screen when X and Y offsets were saved. This is now fixed.
- The PID tuning for the Bed is back. I removed it in Beta 1 to save some SRAM and because I thought it was not used much. I was wrong. So I put it back.
- Load & Unload do not home anymore. The head is raised only if its position is known and is too low (under 20 mm).
- Labels in the Def. Acceleration screen were wrong.
Binaries
- As usual, supporters of the project on Patreon can find the pre-built binaries in ADVi3++ Binaries.
User Manual
- The User Manual is mostly up to date but I will provide more information regarding some topics.
Source code
Complete and up to date sources are published on GitHub:
- advi3++dev branch for the latest developments (i.e version 6.0.0).
