Dii cooler eeprom help

im trying to figure out how to adjust the firmware for the dii cooler upgrade the instructions for the part involve using Repetier-Host, but I cant get that program to work. is there another program I can use to pid tune in the direction stated like this:

“PID HEAT MANAGER] (use for best hotend performance)
This describes how to make your Duplicator i3 use PID heat management for best temperature control of the hotend, no matter which cooler you use.
(For best results, perform your own PID-tuning.)
Using Repetier-Host, go into [Config] → [Firmware EEPROM Configuration]
Change the following parameters:
Extr.1 heat manager [0-3] = 1
Extr.1 PID P-gain/dead-time = 7
Extr.1 PID I-gain 0.5
Extr.1 PID D-gain 25
Firmware EEPROM Configuration”

Simply do a PID tuning for the Extruder. If you really want to set manually PID values, enter them under Settings.

I have used these commands in a gcode file to autotune at the temperature you choose. This example is for 230C. Just “print” the file as if it was a part.

M106 S255 ;fan 100%
M117 Running PID Tune
G4 P2000
M303 S230 U1
M500
M117 PID Tune Saved
G4 P5000

Explanation:

M106 turns on the extruder cooling fan to simulate the thermal load of printing
M303 is the actual autotune
M500 saves the autotuned values

M117s are LCD visual feedback so you can see what is going on
G4s are delays so you can read the display messages

or you can use the commands built into the ADVi3++ LCD interface
